Burberry Men

Burberry is the name of a famous fashion label. They are most noted for their trademark checked patterns on their line of Burberry accessories, such as women’s handbags. However, Burberry has also made quite a mark in the men’s fashion world as well.

Some of the Burberry Men’s clothing include the following: polo shirts, duffel coats, hooded jackets, and rain coats (also hooded). They also sell men’s accessories such as sunglasses, briefcases, and cufflinks.

A little Burberry Fashion History

Burberry is one of the oldest classic UK fashion houses. It was founded in the year 1856, and since then has had an international presence. The founder of this label and the boutiques owned by this label is a man named Thomas Burberry.

At the start of the 1870s the first Burberry outlet had put its energy into developing outerwear. By the 1880, the desire to improve the quality of coats, jackets and other outdoor clothing lead to the development of the early water resistant coat made from garbardine, which is a fabric that is porous (breathable) yet still keeps water out. The Gabardine fabric was patented in the year 1888.

In the year 1891 The Haymarket was born, which is a London fashion house that still stands today. A little over 10 years later a Burberry logo was created. It is a knight on a horse with the Latin word “Prorsum” (meaning forwards and backwards) on it.

Burberry Polo Style Shirts

One type of Burberry polo is very unique in that it has a longer butterfly-like collar than some of the other similar types of shirts. The collars of these shirts are made from a solid twill material and the sleeves of these shirts are often long instead of short.

Another characteristic of these types of Burberry polo shirts is the Navacheck Trim inside the three-button placket (place where the buttons and button holes are located). These shirts have on them the equestrian knight logo.

Burberry also sells the more traditional style of polo shirt. Most of the Burberry polos are made from 100% Cotton material. They come in a variety of colors such as dark brown, navy blue, and bright red.

Other Burberry Men’s Apparel

This particular label also sells a variety of preppie style clothing. For example, they have displayed online their version of the Khaki colored cargo pants (true color is actually “trench”) as well as their own pleated wool dress pants. Additionally, they also sell the basic white button-down shirt and black jacket that many men will wear with jeans or casual slacks.

The Men’s Duffel Coat By Burberry

Another item representative of the Burberry brand is the duffel coat. The original Burberry coat of this style is made from a wool material. It comes in a variety of styles and colors.
