Michael Kors Accessories

Michael Kors accessories are known throughout the world. This is a name that has received quite a bit of recognition since the birth of this company by its founder.

The Michael Kors label is named after the designer who was born on Long Island in New York in the year 1959. He is half Jewish and his mother is noted for being a famous Revlon model.

Michael Kors created styles of clothing and accessories that were meant to be both chic and practical. For instance, he used his talent to create a new line of women’s clothing in 1981 (for Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman stores).

1981 was also the birth of his own design label. He still worked for others for awhile before he began to branch out on his own.

In fall of 1998, he also began to create more and more clothes for men. Then, he found male models to wear these clothes while interacting with females on the runway.

Some of the signature men’s clothing pieces that were created by Kors included sweaters, tailored pants, and peacoats. In the late 1990s Kors had also created a line of clothing for the company for Celine, where he was employed as a ready-to-wear women’s fashion designer (the first Celine has ever had).

Numerous Michael Accessories and clothing items were created while Kors stayed at Celine. Then, in the year 2003 Michael Kors branched out totally on his own.

It was after this that he became noted for many other accessories created under the Michael Kors label.

He continued to make his mark in the high fashion clothing and accessories world. However, he also created lines of Michael Kors accessories and clothing under labels such as MICHAEL Michael Kors and KORS Michael Kors.

These labels were a little more costly that the average person may spend but more reasonably-priced than the clothes worn by runway celebrities.

A wide variety of Michael Kors Accessories are found in very upscale shopping districts. Names of stores where some of his clothing and accessory pieces are displayed for sale include Nordstrom’s, which is headquartered in Seattle, WA and Macy’s which is Headquartered in New York City.

Michael Kors had some very prestigious awards over the years. For example, he had won an award in 1999 for the best women’s wear designer and in 2003 he won an award for best men’s wear designer.

The Michael Kors accessories were also well-recognized as well. Kors was nominated three times for his efforts as an accessory designer.
